A conceptual single-family residence developed around the dimensions of a typical Miami residential lot and a grid of Royal Palms. Rather than clearing the site for the house, the residence winds through the palms, allowing the landscape to shape its organization while preserving the open character of the site. The tall, slender canopies provide natural shading while maintaining airflow, creating a porous relationship between architecture, landscape, and Miami’s subtropical climate.
